Guadalupe Oak Grove Park has a new kiosk

Come check it out

Thanks go to Kevin and Scout Troop 212 for this Eagle Scout project.

TJ Martin Beautification Project

Thanks to Scout Jason Graves and his Eagle Scout project, we will be seeing more beautiful native plants blooming under one of the electrical transmission towers in TJ Martin Park.  This particular tower is located between two towers in the middle just across from Glowing Court and Oakglen Way.

Helping with the project is Martin-Fontana Parks Association’s Project Coordinator, Larry Sasscer.

Thanks to Scout Jason and his fellow Scouts and volunteers for doing such a wonderful job.  We will be looking forward to seeing the fruits of all their labor in the years to come.

TJ Martin Tot Lot Bench Refinished

Thanks to Scout Nathan Bird and some help and guidance from MFPA member Larry Sasscer, the bench was refinished to look like new again.  The work on the bench should help Nathan achieve his Eagle Scout status.

Now it’s safe to sit & watch the kids play.  Thanks so much, guys.

We now have a Kiosk in Jeffrey Fontana Park

Thanks to Troop 287’s Eagle Scout Candidate Joshua Harbman who, with some assistance from his Dad, and Martin-Fontana Parks Association’s Vice-President Larry Sasscer, has completed the construction and installation of the kiosk.  Some of the funds for construction were provided by Martin-Fontana Parks Association and the balance through fundraising by Scout Harbman.  Great job, guys.
