This is an article from the August 11th Almaden Times.
“Citizen Scientist” Lee Pauser has been building, installing, and monitoring nest boxes (the proper term for bird-houses) for 16 years. He caters to 18 different species, ranging from Chickadees and Tree Swallows to Western Bluebirds, American Kestrels, Barn Owls and Wood Ducks. And when it is not the birding season, Lee Pauser helps in our parks, T.J. Martin, J. Fontana, Almaden Meadows Park and the Guadalupe Oak Grove Park. He was the person with the inspiration for the GOGP survey a few years ago; and as a result of that, and other pro-active projects at GOGP, we now have Johnny Kahmis’s, our City councilman’s, support and commitment to preserve this unique asset. District 10 has recently applied $250K park funds to protect and preserve the viability of the GOGP through a contract extension with H.T. Harvey & Associates | Ecological Consultants. Thanks for all you do, Lee Pauser. ppp
