Seventeen more trees added to T.J. Martin Park!

On Saturday the 28th of May, about 25 to 30 volunteers showed up to help plant trees.  Thanks to MFPA members, the T.J. Martin Park Neighborhood Association, and Our City Forest, 17 trees were planted in the west half of T.J. Martin Park.  Adding her support was City Councilmember Nancy Pyle  who dropped by to check it all out.

Shown in the photo from left to right are Pat Wagstaff, Joy Stevens, Nancy Pyle, Mike Thompson, and Larry Sasscer.

A special thank you goes to MFPA member, Larry Sasscer, who drew up the landscaping plans and made all the arrangements.    Larry is also a Co-President of the T.J. Martin Park Neighborhood Association.

Also there to help out was Almaden Valley Women’s Club‘s 1st Vice President, Bonnie George and her husband.

Here you see, Bonnie George and her husband, (the couple in red), MFPA Treasurer Bob Heldt, along with a member of Our City Forest, trying to pull the tree out of the pot.  Not an easy task.

Thanks again to all those who came out.
