MARTIN-FONTANA PARKS ASSOCIATION Saving our Park Trees

First walk through in both parks with PG&E & City to determine the status of trees to be saved and those to be cut down. It was very uneventful with No Real Commitments from PG&E.

The Community was informed by PG&E that 140 Trees had to be cut down in TJ Martin & Jeffrey Fontana Park because of possible power outages due wire clearances to the trees.  Many of the residents were outraged by such short notice and by the unnecessary destruction of these healthy trees. Tree cutting was scheduled for March 22, 2010.  See ABC7 video
